1. Emma by Jane Austen

I have read most of Jane Austen’s books, and I love her writing, but I still need to read this book, which is one of her most known works. I haven’t even watched one of the many movies that have been inspired by it. It has been on my to be read list for at least two years.

2. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

I have heard a lot of things about this book, I don’t even remember if they were good things or bad things, I just know I have heard about it for a long time and I can’t wait to read it.

3. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

I’ll be honest, I first found out about this book through Easy A (Yes, the movie with Emma Stone), and I have been dying to read it ever since.

4. Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

I want to read this book because on TV shows, movies, other book,  someone  always mentions it, they love it, they have read it, they haven’t read it, they hate it, etc.  I just want to find out what the big deal is.

5. Lord of the Flies by William Golding

There’s so many books that are describe as similar to this book, or as a mix of this books with something else, that I just want to read it. Also, most of the bookish people I know have read it, so I’m intrigued.

6. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Everyone has read this book, most people because they had to read it for school, since I didn’t went to school in the United States, I didn’t even heard about this book until I was in university, but I’m really looking forward to reading it. I’m actually quite curious about it.
