I'm starting a new feature on my blog and I'm really excited! Bookish Style Guide is a feature where I will be sharing a Pinterest board with clothes and accessories inspired by the main character in a book I love. The boards will be full of things that I think the character I choose would wear. This feature was inspired by a question Jenny Han got on twitter, someone (@badlandslydia) asked if there was a Lara Jean's style guide, and Jenny Han answered with some of the things Lara Jena would wear. After that, I started to make Pinterest boards with the style guides for some characters I love. I decided I would post the Lara Jean's Style Guide first, since it started it all. I hope you enjoy it!
THE BOOKS:
Lara Jean is a character in To All The Boys I've Loved Before and PS I Still Love You, which were written by Jenny Han. Here is the sypnosis of the first book:
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all
Jenny Han said on twitter that Lara Jean would wear anything with cats, wacky sweaters, bows, floral, and headbands. That answer was the inspiration for this style guide.
